MoneySteady
Privacy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This policy describes the MoneySteady Financial Planning App at app.getmoneysteady.com. Payhip checkout and separately sold downloadable products may involve different data practices and their own notices.
Financial planning stays in your browser
Your profile name, balances, income, transactions, notes, budgets, bills, savings goals, debts, paychecks, planning progress and settings are saved locally using IndexedDB. The app does not automatically upload these records to Supabase or cloud-sync them between devices. It does not connect to your bank or initiate payments.
Local records belong to the browser profile and site address, not to an individual signed-in account. Signing out does not erase them. Another person using an entitled account in the same browser profile can see the same planning data. Use a separate browser profile on shared devices. Different browsers, devices and site addresses have separate local storage.
Accounts and purchased access
Supabase handles your email/password sign-in, email confirmation, sessions and password recovery. It processes account identifiers, email, authentication credentials and related account/session information to verify your identity and protect access. Account emails are sent through Supabase's configured email-delivery service.
Payhip handles checkout with its payment providers. MoneySteady receives purchase/refund notifications and stores the checkout email, transaction identifier, product key, amount, currency, purchase/refund status and dates, account link and access/claim timestamps in Supabase. These records support purchase matching, access activation, refunds and support. Matching uses the confirmed account email. MoneySteady does not store payment-card numbers in its app database.
Cookies, providers and technical information
Supabase SSR uses browser cookies for authentication sessions and confirmation/recovery flows. IndexedDB also stores your app preferences. Blocking cookies or site storage can prevent sign-in or saving. The app code does not add advertising trackers or analytics SDKs.
Vercel hosts the app; Supabase provides authentication and account/access storage; Payhip and its payment providers handle commerce. These services necessarily receive network requests and may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and service logs under their own configurations and policies. This is separate from the app's local financial records.
See the provider notices for Vercel, Supabase and Payhip. Checkout may name additional payment providers. Account email delivery may involve a configured SMTP provider; its production configuration is managed separately from the app.
Backups, retention and deletion
Use Settings to export or import a backup and to clear planning data. Exported JSON backups are not encrypted by MoneySteady; anyone with the file can read them. Clearing app data does not delete copies you exported. Clearing browser site data, losing a device or changing browsers can remove access to local records. MoneySteady has no automatic cloud copy from which to restore them.
Local records remain until you clear or replace them, or the browser removes them. Signing out or deleting an account does not clear browser data. Clearing browser data does not delete your Supabase account or purchase records.
There is no in-app account-deletion tool or automatic server-record deletion schedule. Contact the seller to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account/purchase information. Requests require identity verification. Purchase information can remain after an account is deleted; transaction records may need to be retained for accounting, disputes or legal obligations. No fixed retention period is promised here.
Security and your choices
Account verification, server-side access checks and database permissions restrict app access. These controls do not encrypt your local planning records or backup files. No service or device can guarantee complete security. Protect your device, email account, password and backups, and avoid entering information you do not need for planning.
You can edit local records, export them, clear them or stop using the app. If you send support messages, the information you choose to send will be used to address your request. Share only what is necessary. Privacy rights and available remedies depend on applicable law.
Contact Support: use the seller contact details in your Payhip receipt, or the contact option on the MoneySteady Payhip store if available. See Payhip's seller-contact instructions. Include your account or checkout email and order reference when relevant. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, card details or financial-planning backups.
